Aggregate Industries Management, Inc. is a leading provider of aggregate and construction materials to markets in the United States. Since 1997, Aggregate Industries’ quest to “Deliver Value” has been evidenced by countless prestigious projects and a growing list of steadfast clientele.

Our History

Aggregate Industries was created in 1997 through the merger of Bardon and Camus companies, which were based in Minnesota and Massachusetts. In the decade that followed, Aggregate Industries purchased businesses in Maryland, Michigan, Colorado, Nevada, and Illinois growing the Company from a small producer into one of the largest construction and building materials companies in the United States. Today, Aggregate Industries Management, Inc. includes Meyer Material, Frehner Construction, Southern Nevada Paving, and Southern Nevada Ready-Mix. In June 2007, after 10 years of operation, the US Group Business of Aggregate Industries formally separated from its UK parent, Aggregate Industries Limited, and became Aggregate Industries Management, Inc.

Aggregate Industries became a member of the Holcim Group in March 2005. Holcim is one of the world’s leading suppliers of cement, aggregate, concrete, and construction-related services. From its origins in Switzerland, Holcim has become a global player with a strong market presence. The Group holds majority and minority interests in more than 70 countries and employs approximately 68,000 people across every continent. Holcim’s operations are characterized by strategic sustainability – long-term profitability in harmony with environmental and social progress.

Guy Edwards, Chief Executive Officer U.S. Aggregates and Construction Materials business.

In 2012, Guy joined Aggregate Industries Europe as the AIUK Southern Region Director. He quickly moved to become the Director of Scotland and Europe in 2013 and part of the UK Executive Committee. In 2014, he then moved to Aggregate Industries US as Chief Operating Officer and in July 2015 assumed his current role as CEO for U.S. Aggregates and Construction Materials.

Guy has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, including management positions with Heidelberg / Hanson and Hanson / Tarmac JV in the UK. Guy is an English national. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Leeds University, UK and a NEBOSH Certificate in OH&S. Additionally, he completed the International Leadership Program at the International Institute for Management Development.

Brett Baker, Head of the Great Lakes Region

Brett was named Head of the Great Lakes region for the Aggregates and Construction Materials business in July 2015. Brett brings more than 17 years of experience to his current position, all with Lafarge North America in various roles with increasing responsibility. He has a background in operations, sales, and logistics for the aggregates, asphalt, and construction industries. Brett was the Aggregates General Manager in New Mexico and then the Central Plains region from 2005 – 2007 and 2007 – 2009, respectively. In 2010, Brett moved to a leadership role in the U.S. Aggregates & Asphalt Sales and Marketing organization. Then, in January 2014, he transitioned back to operations as the Product Line General Manager over East Aggregates and Asphalt for Lafarge U.S.

He currently resides in Chicago, Illinois with his family. Brett holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University and is an active member in the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association.

Cedric Barthelemy, Head of the Mid-Atlantic Region

Cedric was appointed to the Aggregate Industries Executive Committee in July 2015, as the Head of the Mid-Atlantic region. This region has strong positions in Aggregates, Ready-Mix, Asphalt and Contracting businesses covering the Washington D.C. area, along with Maryland and Virginia.

Cedric began his career in Ready Mix for Holcim Spain in 1999. He then held various positions of increasing responsibilities in Spain and Morocco. In 2004, he was appointed to the Moroccan Executive Committee as Senior Vice President in charge of Ready-Mix and Aggregates in Morocco. In 2011, he decided to take on new challenges and was transferred to the United States as Maintenance and Performance General Manager to support the integration of Holcim and AI, and help the regions improve their operational and financial performances. In 2014, he was appointed Regional General Manager in charge of the Northeast Region for Aggregate Industries and then became Head of Mid-Atlantic Region following the LafargeHolcim merger in July 2015.

Cedric is a graduate from Montpellier business school in France. He also has attended senior executive programs of IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He started his career in the material construction industries and has held various positions from strategy, controlling, operations, sales, business development and general management. He currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his family.

Lee Carroll, Head of the Texas-Louisiana Region – Lee joined Lattimore Materials Corporation in 1999 as Vice President Sales and Marketing. He was promoted several times within the organization. His positions included General Manager Ready Mix, Regional General Manager and his current role as the Head of Texas-Louisiana region, for which he was appointed in July 2015.

Lee drives strategy execution by overseeing and managing all operations and sales with the Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Louisiana markets. His employment history includes positions with Alamo Cement Company, a division of Buzzi Cement, and Alamo Concrete Division in the Austin and South Texas markets. He was also employed by Pioneer Concrete in Houston and Dallas as Sales Representative, Sales Manager, Concrete Production Manager, Area Manager and Director of Operations.

Lee attended Texas Tech University and was the 2006-07 Chairman of the Texas Aggregate and Concrete Association. He lives n the Dallas / Fort Worth area with his family.

John Conlin, Head of the Mountain Region
John was named the Head of the Mountain Region for the Aggregates and Construction Materials business based in Denver, Colorado in July 2015. The region includes aggregate and Ready Mix businesses in Arizona, Nevada and Colorado. John joined Aggregate Industries US (AIUS) from Oldcastle Materials Delaware in 2006. He brought with him to AIUS years of engineering experience and a diverse background including his work in the cooling technology industry.

John’s priorities within his business are consistent – producing quality work for his customers, on time and safely, delivered by strong, effective teams working toward the same objectives. John currently resides in Denver, Colorado and in his spare time, enjoys fine dining with friends, golf and tennis. He is also an active member in the Colorado Ready Mix Concrete Association.

Matthew Dantinne, Head of the Mid-America Region

Matthew is currently the Head of the Mid-America region for the Aggregates and Construction Materials business, which includes the greater Chicagoland area and the River market, which stretches from Saint Louis to the markets along the Gulf of Mexico, including New Orleans.

Matt brings more than 20 years of experience to his operations role. Prior to assuming his current position in July 2015, Matt held various roles in the Lafarge North America organization from accounting and controller roles in Gypsum from 1999 – 2003, to lead positions within Strategy and Business Development from 2003 – 2009, to Vice President and General Manager for Midwest aggregates from 2009 – 2011 and then for River aggregates from 2011 - 2013. In January 2014, Matt assumed the role of Product Line General Manager for Aggregates West, a role he held until July 2015 when he started his current position.

Matt lives in the Chicagoland area with his family. He holds a BS in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Florida and is an active member of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association.

Randy Gaworski, Head of the North Central Region

Randy was appointed to the Head of North Central Region role for the Aggregates and Construction Material (ACM) business in July 2015. The region encompasses both North Dakota (covering the Fargo/Moorhead and greater area) and Minnesota (covering the Twin Cities and greater area). Randy has been with Aggregate Industries since October 1998. During the past 17 years, Randy has held several key leadership positions within the Aggregate Industries U.S. organization (prior to being appointed Head – North Central Region) including Controller, Business Manager, Operations Manager – Ready Mix, General Manager – Ready Mix (2010-2014) and General Manager Aggregates and Ready Mix (2014 – 2015).

Randy holds a BS in Accounting, along with a Certified Public Accountant designation. He is currently President of the Minnesota Aggregates and Ready Mix Association (ARM), where he also has held positions of Vice President, Treasurer and Membership Chair. Randy currently resides in Shoreview, Minnesota with his family.

Brad Kohl, Head of the Northeast Region

Brad was named Head of the Northeast region for the Aggregates and Construction Materials business in July 2015. Brad has been in the construction / building materials industry for more than 25 years, holding various roles with increasing responsibilities over the years, specifically within operations and sales and marketing. Most recently, Brad’s role was with Lafarge Canada Inc. as Vice President of the Greater Vancouver Aggregates and Marine Division – a position he held since 2010. Brad started his career with Lafarge Canada in 1998 on the commercial side of the business.

Currently, Brad resides in the Boston, Massachusetts area. He holds a Finance degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and has participated in many executive management programs, including those from Duke and Queens Universities.
