The Mid Atlantic region is our aggregate, asphalt and ready mixed concrete business serving the markets in Washington DC, Maryland, northern Virginia, and West Virginia. This region also operates recycling facilities and an architectural stone product outlet known as Stonehenge Gardens.
Aggregate Industries Mid Atlantic region also operates the largest quarry in West Virginia (Millville Quarry) and the nearest quarry to Washington DC (Rockville Quarry). Sand and gravel operations supply materials to the region's ready mixed concrete plants and to others in the market. Both rail and barge transportation is utilized to move aggregates to the market. Aggregate Industries Mid Atlantic region also operates a large network of ready mixed concrete plants, and is the largest producer in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
