Meyer and PAVELOC implemented our environmental management system at all of the Illinois and Wisconsin facilities that conforms to the international standard, ISO 14001. Meyer and PAVELOC received certification for their facilities following a series of audits conducted by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, an independent auditing organization dedicated to public health and the environment.
The environment plays a large role in Aggregate Industries’ US operations and recently it has been given an even higher priority. Aggregate Industries is taking a leap forward by developing and implementing a certifiable Environmental Management System (EMS) across all US regions. This EMS meets the requirements of the international standard known as ISO 14001.
Aggregate Industries’ EMS is being developed in line with the goals of the company’s Environmental Policy. After Aggregate Industries identifies aspects of the Company’s products, activities, and services that have the potential to significantly impact the environment, Aggregate Industries will manage those aspects effectively, thus preventing the environmental impacts while protecting the environment.
Each of our regional businesses has conducted extensive environmental training. By certifying our EMS to the ISO 14001 standard, Aggregate Industries can prove to customers, suppliers, regulators, employees, and other stakeholders that the Company is managing potential environmental impacts in accordance with an internationally recognized standard.
