Our corporate social responsibility approach includes a strong and enduring commitment to the communities in which we operate as well as the employees who work for us; a dedication to sustainable development and the preservation of the resources we rely on for our product and the land we take it from; and the development of sustainable construction materials and approaches.
As further evidence of our continuing commitment to the environment and the issues surrounding sustainablity, our West Central Region's was recently awarded the State of Colorado's "Sustainability Champion Award" for their work in the local community.
Additionally, we work closely with local and national groups to development an understanding of what we do and how we positively contribute to economic, social and environmental well-being across all the areas where we have operations.
We have sought to make our business accountable through the adoption of best practice, such as ISO 14001 for environmental management and through communicating on a wide range of non-financial information. We are proud of our recent partnerships with the EPA Climate Leaders program and also with the Cool Climate Concrete program, which are further evidence our company-wide commitment to the environment and our communities. |
